I believe, now more than ever, that elected officials need to be accountable to the public they serve. Public trust of government officials has been destroyed due to misconduct, nepotism, corruption, and a general lack of principles. I understand that elected officials are your servants- your property- NOT the other way around. If entrusted with this important position, my policies will reflect my commitment of service, integrity, and accountability to you, the people of Harford County. Unlike your current delegates, I will consistently vote against wasteful spending, bigger government, and unconstitutional programs.

More information will be available here as the campaign unfolds. Please continue to visit DaveTritt.com for the latest developments.

Thank you for your interest in the campaign. I look forward to meeting you on the campaign trail!

I am running for House of Delegates to rein in government spending, defend personal liberty, and protect our eroding property rights.
In 2006, Maryland’s general fund balance was $1,361,712,139. The senior republican delegate from district 35A voted WITH Governor Martin O’Malley in 2007 to squander over $1.1 billion of this surplus. In 2009, both delegates , in a recession, voted to add $1.1 billion to the state debt. The two 35A Republican delegates have repeatedly voted for more spending, more bureaucracy, and more government intrusion in your lives.

I believe that many in the republican party have lost their way. They have abandoned the ideals of smaller government, fair taxation, and responsible spending levels. Many have forsaken the oath they took to support the constitution in order to wield power and buy votes with tax payer money. These practices are unsustainable and must be ended immediately. We cannot, especially in the current economic climate, afford to keep taxing hard working families and employers. The biggest obstacle to job creation and prosperity is unrestrained government spending.

Strong, vocal leadership will be required to reverse the current spending spree. This is why I am running together with my good friend, Jason Gallion.

Jason is a strong fiscal conservative, with a record of public service- not as a politician, but as a Harford farmer and the Level Fire Chief. Jason has risked his life to save others- as an unpaid volunteer. He truly knows what “service” means. Jason understands how small business works, and we are working together to bring responsible, efficient, and constitutional government to Annapolis.
